How to Access the Platform
Some school or institutional networks may restrict access to Scholar’s App. Institutions wishing to use the platform may need their IT department or network administrator to allow the following domain:
*.scholarsapp.com/*
Scholar’s App is working to obtain allowlist status with state departments of education. If you cannot access the platform through a school network, try using a personal device from home or another public network.
Security
- SOC 2 Type II security compliance
- GDPR-compliant data processing agreement
- Advanced DDoS protection using in-house security systems and Cloudflare
- Automated code and vulnerability testing, including OWASP Top 10 testing
- Continuous security monitoring
- Annual penetration testing based on the OWASP Web Security Testing Guide
- TLS encryption for data in transit and AES-256 encryption for stored data
- Hosted through AWS, which supports numerous security and compliance standards
Privacy
Scholar’s App states that it complies with the Consumer Privacy Act and allows consumers to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information. Scholar’s App also states that it does not sell personal information to third parties.
Consumers have the right to learn what personal information is collected and how it is used. Additional details are available in the Scholar’s App Privacy Policy .
Consumer Information Requests
Consumers may request information about the personal data Scholar’s App has collected about them during the preceding 12 months. This may include the categories and sources of information collected, its business or commercial purpose, third parties with whom information was shared, and the specific information collected. Scholar’s App states that this information will be provided at no charge after the consumer’s identity has been verified.
