VFW Post 8905 - Cypress, Texas
VFW Post 8905 is publishing the following notice in accordance with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) public-notification requirements for our on-site public water system.
This notice concerns required water-quality monitoring that was not completed during certain reporting periods. It is not a notice that contamination was detected in the Post's drinking water.
No action is required by members, guests, or visitors at this time. According to the official notice, water may continue to be consumed normally.
The Post's public water system is required to collect routine samples for coliform bacteria monitoring. Required samples were not collected during certain reporting periods, including August 2026.
Because those required samples were not collected, the water quality for those specific monitoring periods could not be confirmed through the required testing process.
The Post is taking the required steps to return the water system to compliance. This includes collecting the required distribution sample, submitting it to a laboratory for analysis, and providing the results to TCEQ.
The required sample is scheduled to be collected on October 9, 2026.
VFW Post 8905 takes the health and safety of our members, guests, employees, and community seriously. We are publishing this information in the interest of transparency and to comply with public-notification requirements.
If circumstances change and the water is determined to be unsafe to drink, the Post will provide additional notification as required.
