A new daytime bingo hall is slated to open Nov. 2 at 21902 Hwy. 290, Cypress, where VFW Post 8905 is located.

The barrier has been removed. Since becoming the commander for the VFW Post 8905, Joshua Wilcox has been on a mission; maybe not one as tough as his service in the military, but that training has helped him move a lot of mountains. Last week, he moved his first big one.
On the Wall of Honor, the charter for VFW Post 8905 is covered with a shroud in memory of three members who passed away during the month of February. It's been a tough year with more deaths this year in the membership than in recent years.
