The third Friday of every September is set aside as National POW/MIA Recognition Day. Let us remember those who put country before self, but have yet to return home from their wars. Let us remember their families, who continue to burn the candle of hope. And let us continue to tell the story that without the service and sacrifice of American servicemen and women, there would not be a United States of America.
Before Memorial Day in 1922, we conducted our first poppy distribution, becoming the first veterans' organization to organize a nationwide distribution. The poppy soon was adopted as the official memorial flower of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, as it remains today.
Coming home doesn't mean the battle is over. With over 10 times the amount of veterans lost to suicide than to combat operations in the same time period, there has never been a more important time to TAKE A STAND and DO something to support our veterans!! If you or someone you know is suffering from PTSD, we have people that have shared a similar experience and are ready to help.
- Post Canteen is now open! No body is permitted at the bar. One of our staff will serve you at your table. We are open to the public and now accepting credit cards.

Steak night is good and drink prices are more than fair..
We tried, for the first time, Steak night and were not disappointed. Good food, good entertainment with live music, and very nice people. Will return with friends.
The BBQ cook offs are always great fun! Love and support the VFW! A place that's kid friendly and everyone is so pleasant to be around.
